Andrea L. Reynolds Becomes Dyson Foundation's New President

June 15, 2015 - Andrea L. Reynolds began serving as the Dyson Foundation’s new president on June 15th, replacing longtime president Diana Gurieva who decided to step aside after leading the family foundation for 24 years. Ms. Reynolds brings a wealth of philanthropic management experience to her new role with the Dyson Foundation. She became the president of the Community Foundation of Dutchess County in 2005 and then led the organization through a period of sustained expansion. Under her direction, the Community Foundation grew to include Ulster and Putnam counties, becoming the Community Foundations of the Hudson Valley and increased its total assets from $22 million to $51 million. Ms. Reynolds previously worked at the Community Foundation of Greater Memphis for 10 years, holding a variety of positions, including Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the then $250 million organization. Ms. Reynolds is honored to have been chosen to be the next President and CEO of the Dyson Foundation. “I recognize the critical role this venerable institution holds in the Mid-Hudson Valley and look forward to working with the Board and staff to continue its tradition of excellence for many years to come,” she said.
